TWO HOUR LESSON Gangs, peer influence, drugs and county lines / Drugs Education PSHE lesson - all you need to know, from how how young people are pressured to join, the slang, the risks and the reality. New video clip tasks now also added - interview with actual county line gangsters. This is a double, fully resourced PSHE lesson which introduces the concept of County Lines and how gangs exploit and groom young victims into joining the underground drugs networks, before exploring the reasons why young people join gangs and the consequences. 2 HOUR LESSON A fully-resourced transgender PSHE / RSE lesson which serves as an introduction to the difference between sex and gender and explores sexuality, identity, language (correct terms) and gender expression. Students will explore new key terminology before investigating the key components of identity and sexual orientation, why some people still find some of the ideas behind this controversial (such as pronoun use) and then educate other students on a trait they will be working on and presenting in small groups (all information needed is included). This lesson is great to consolidate the PSHE 2020/24 spiral curriculum (especially for an LGBT+ unit) or for a Citizenship diversity unit. The lesson has been written for KS5 and is editable, so easy to adapt for your own PSHE planning. An assembly all about whether or not we live in a truly equal country. The assembly reflects on women’s and LGBT+ rights, racism, black lives matter, and finally focuses on income inequality - and how and why this is rising. The message of the assembly is that although the UK has improved so much in the last fifty years, we cannot take it for granted that we live in a country of equal opportunities, which is why we need to develop our skills of resilience, perseverance and determination to succeed more than ever. It lasts around 20 mins (inc clips). The assembly includes animations, statistics, dialogue between characters and a little humour. It is very easy to just pick up ad deliver after a quick glance at the slides. The slides in the previews are just a sample and not the whole assembly.
